The study area is located in Central Iran tectonic zone and Yazd block. The silica and barite veins bearing Cu mineralization outcropped in this region. Host rocks of this mineralization are late Triassic – Jurassic sandstone and shale which equivalent to Shemshak Formation. Field studies and structural analysis shows that Forming of veins and veinlets are related to extensional structures in folds and faults, but, mineralized veins mostly occur in extensional structure parallel to fold axis and hydrothermal fluids had used this structures to deposition of ore minerals. Mineralized veins are related to NW-SE strike slip faults with normal dip slip component. These NW-SE faults are displaced by NE-SW dextral and E-W sinistral strike slip faults and formed block structure in mineralized veins. Paleostress analysis of fault data represents the direction ENE-WSW for maximum principle stress (σ1) and NNW-SSE for minimum principle stress (σ3). This paleostress pattern is consistent with folding model in study area.
