چکیده

Shabestar granitoid is located in northwestern Iran and in the western Alborz-Azerbaijan zone. The intrusive body has cut Kahar formation and has been covered by non-conformably Permian sediments. This body is granite- alkali granite in composition with peraluminous to metaluminous in nature. The under studied samples show dominantly granular, and pertite textures. The Major minerals include quartz, K-feldspar, plagioclase, and biotite, amphibole, pyroxene, apatite, titanite and zircon are as minor and accessory minerals. The strong negative anomaly of Eu in the REE diagram indicates that the presence of the plagioclase in source or differentiation process of the plagioclase during evolution of the magma that formed these rocks. The petrochemical data expressed that the studied rocks are A-type granitoids, as well as, due to poor Nb values, are compatible with A2- type. Also, the Negative anomaly of Ba and enrichment of Rb and Th relative to Ta and Nb values indicated of crustal origin for the Harris intrusive body. In these granites Ba shows more negative anomalies than post collision granites and the values of Zr, Ta, Nb and Yb are somewhat higher than post collision granites. The base of Harris granite mass is intraplate and non-orogenic granites and is formed in a post collision tensile environment. Using of the studies distinguished that the Harris granitoid body originated by partial melting of the lower crust with tonalite-granodiorite composition.
